Setting an example for future generations

Christopher and Lisa Thomsen

Christopher and Lisa hope their gift to Saint Martin's will inspire future generations to give back.

Christopher Thomsen built a career on healthcare‐related automation and technology after earning dual degrees in chemistry and biology in 1980. He has founded or co-founded five different companies and has been awarded two U.S. patents for his invention of the community and outpatient pharmacy robotic system. Christopher continues to manage The Thomsen Group Inc., where he is the founder and president, and he is a partner and vice president with Capsa Healthcare, a health IT, medication management, and pharmacy robotics and technology company based in Portland, Oregon.

In 2017, after living outside the Pacific Northwest for many years, Christopher and his wife, Lisa, moved to Port Angeles, where Christopher was born and raised. Since that time, he has re-engaged with Saint Martin's University and become an active volunteer and event participant. He is a member of the National Alumni Board and comprehensive campaign leadership committee, and he regularly attends the Golf Classic, Gala, Homecoming and other regional events.

Christopher and Lisa have generously remembered Saint Martin's University in their estate plan to provide future support for the sciences or scholarships for science students.

Christopher shares, “Saint Martin's is a special and formative place where I learned how to be a servant to others. I see a gift through our estate as an ultimate example to our children and future generations. Giving back and helping current and future Saints just feels natural. It is the right thing and an easy thing for us to do for the community.”
